Computer problems!!!

My computer keeps restarting itself for no apparent reason. I can't find any viruses on it, but it is used a lot!!!
Anyone have any ideas of what it could be?

Could be any number of things wrong.


Electrical problem (wires plugs etc)
Sounds simple but check everything is plugged in ok... and your plugs/sockets are working ok


Virus/Worm
There used to be an online check at Norton/Symantec that you could do an online check but I'm not sure if its still available. If you've got a really nasty virus it may be difficult to detect.


Hardware problem (something wrong with one of the components in your computer)
Not a lot you can do about this better leaving it to the profesionals.


Software/Hardware conflict.
Installed any new software or hardware lately might be an idea to remove it if you have
