My first "Issue" with Lexx

I watched IWHS the other day and they have The Divine Shadow perform "The Kiss." After it's over the Divine Shadows cloak moves from the former to the current Divine Shadow.

In the episode "Twilight" they have the bodies of former Divine Shadows dressed in the cloak of the Divine Shadow. But if the cloak moves then how could they be dressed in the cloak?

Maybe they dress them up, I don't know but this has been bugging me so I thought I'd mention it.

Let's not go there with continuity in the Lexxverse. It was low budget and much of it was obviously made up on the fly, or edited so heavily as continually to contradict itself. If this were a Lexx Continuity thread, it would be among the most active on the Bored I am sure.

Better to imagine they dressed the corpses back up after the Kiss.

It's the comfort factor. That's what HDS was used to wearing. Would you want to tell a former HDS he couldn't have what he wanted :shock:

I'd too would say they were dressed up... something supporting that would be that they seemed to be some sort of copy of the cloak rather than exactly the same, they were of a different fabric and also dark blue instead of black.

I just figured that the Divine Shadow seemed a little tight fisted and would squeeze a coin til it screamed for mercy.

But as usual everybody knows more than me and gave me an adequate answer.

Truth is a dead Divine Shadow knows whats best and offers his cloak as a thank you for having his life sucked out of him. I mean really who would want the new Divine Shadow to go cold. So after the new Divine Shadow has left the scene a number of Divine Shadow secret cloak makers, make a cloak for the dead Divine Shadow who sadly does not know any more just how good looking he looks dead.

How did the Divine Predacessors manage to tell the Lexx to take off without the key? unless the key was still inside Stan's hand although i thought the key had to be inside something living?

I got an issue the size of Manhattan Island!
My first issue was the idea the LEXX had to be a great big huge gigantic humongous oversized BUG !!!

I hate bugs!! I wish they all would just go away and become extinct or something. I always have 2 cans of RAID!! around my house, just in case one gives out on a weekend or in the middle of the night. In the beginning I was intrigued with LEXX the story line enough to watch it all, and liked both Eva and Doreen. But I couldn't even bring myself to video-record whole episodes and kept cutting out all the BUG sequences.

Then somewhere along the way watching it over and over I got used to it and it doesn't bother me anymore. Except the parts where they show roaches in XEV's bed like in "LOVE GROWS" and a couple of suggestions scattered throughout the series that she might have a taste for them in a dinner sort of way, especially being half "Cluster Lizard". @|#^%@!!! I do hope she uses a very good mouthwash before she kisses!!!
