    The Walking Dead

Hopefully I'm not the only person here who watched that. Considering the show premiered to 5.3 million viewers, which is a record for cable premiers this year and for AMC, I'm feeling kinda lucky that I might not be.

So, anyone wanna discuss it or am I just talking to myself?

I have no idea what you are talking about. I tend to miss out on things, like when Joss Whedon was here to promote Buffy season 2, at the Seattle Center. On topic, the other night, Bruce Campbell was here to officially marry zombies, same place. Rebel without a clue, thats me.

I'm totally watching this, but I'll wait for the whole season to come out before I do, because I hate cliffhangers between eps :)

I liked the first episode a lot.
Definitely going to watch the rest when I get the chance. The TV series format is something new when it comes to zombies and I'm quite curious about how this reshapes and modifies some of the basic patterns of the genre...
And I'd like to check out the graphic novel as well...

I didn't know it was a graphic novel until I read it's Wiki article. I hope with the renewed interest from the TV show, they might reprint the novels again. I know there's already been several, but I missed out.

I have only one question. Was it any good?
Turns out Gin is still alive. Dying but not dead yet. I hope he is saved.

I don't know. Apparently the show's pretty faithful to the source material.

I watched the whole season - it's okay. Nothing too special. It's interesting, but there's nothing memorable about it. Hopefully after its success a second zombie tv show will get done and it will be MUCH more innovative :)
Well, it's not too late to make The Walking Dead innovative as well, I haven't read the books so I dunno, maybe it offers something better further along on the road.
