    Costuming Help!

Hello there! I'm a long-time fan of Lexx, though I'm new to this board. I never knew it existed until now.

Anyhow, just a bit of background -- I'm a regular performer as Frank with a Rocky Horror Picture Show cast out here in Indiana. On the 19th, we're having our annual Sci-Fi night, and I decided to be Xev! However, now I really don't know where to start with making her cluster lizard costume. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! There is a lack of cosplay pictures (or how costumes were made) from what I'm seeing on the internet with my searches, at any rate...

There are several users on www.cosplay.com forums who have made Xev costumes. http://www.cosplay.com/results.php?id=11550520&sort=

Also, if you can locate them (things are quiet in here lately) some users from this forum have also made Xev costumes. But that was before the board moved servers... and a quick search of this forum yielded me no results :(
HisDivineShadow is one user who comes to mind. He was from Atlanta, GA and his wife had a Xev costume to go with his Kai costume.

Hi all. I'm new here. I wrote an introductory post of sorts, but I think it got gobbled up in the registration process. No matter as I think it was a bit more long-winded than most of my writing!

Kai's costume reminds me of a mummy; except instead of white cloth strips, the cloth is grey or black. His top seems to be more of a lattice work of strips, sort of like a coarsely woven sweater.

    Any Lexx fans around?

Welcome to our forum. Yes, there are a few of us around... things just move a bit slowly in here. Your posts weren't lost - just waiting for approval by a moderator.

Some say Kai's clothes resemble a hook rug. ;)

You can reach Kerri at her Lexx group on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/groups/287449198003470/ They're both still pretty active with Lexx over there.

Hi  Can't find it now, maybe someone else remembers, read somewhere long ago that Kai's costume was kind of based on a local tradition somewhere, very expensive and difficult to find stuff like that because it's so unique. Here's a thread from the bored history about it if you feel like reading through it. http://littlelexx.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=256
