If anyone cares to know... the Lexx chat channel on IRC (fefnet) still exists and people still go there.
If you have an IRC client installed, then this link should work for you - if not you'll probably get some kind of error.

I've now added a web-based IRC client here http://www.users.on.net/~recfrec/lexxlinks.html so that those without proper IRC clients can join.

I'd forgotten I'd installed a web-based IRC client on my ISP's user space. Just checked and it's still there and amazingly still working!
